| I det som er årets beste radiouke, nemlig påskeuka, er Øystein P2 artist. Her blir det en reise fra tidlige prosjekter frem til helt nye prosjekter som ennå ikke er utgitt. Programmene går fra kl 9:30 til 10:00 hver dag fra mandag til fredag. Reprise kl 1900. NRK P2. Fredag presenteres trolig en forsmak Benedicte Torgets nye CD, samt Eliksirs (Elin Synnøve Bråthen) CD “Earthly Things” som kom ut i fjor. | |||

| Øysten Sevåg plays at the UN in New York | |||
| For the first time, an Antarctic Ice Bridge will be built in front of the UN building i New York for the whole world to watch as it slowly melts away. The Ice Bridge, created by Norwegian artist Vebjørn Sand, will be the outdoor centerpiece for an exhibition showing artistic renderings and scientific images of the fragile beauty of Antarctica. “ANTARCTICA: On Thin Ice” will be unveiled December 17th. 2007 during a reception hosted by the Permanent Mission of Norway to the United Nations. The exhibition runs through January 31st., 2008. Øystein Sevåg plays under the unveiling ceremony on December 17th. | |||

| As summer folds to an end Øystein Sevåg is premiering as solo pianist with the album “based on a true story”. On previous recordings the musician and composer has surrounded himself with a number of Norway’s finest performers. This time he finds himself alone on the piano-chair – telling his story. | |||

Eliksir and the album Earthly Things take the listener on an adventurous journey through a wide-stretched musical terrain. Her music is a melodious potion brewed on elements from pop, jazz, rock and world. Associations may go to songwriters like Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Joni Mitchell. The sound is modern and at the same time nostalgic, blending programmed ingredients into a warm layer of acoustic instruments. Eliksir has spun the lyrics from her dreams; they are fairytale-like as well as personal. Producer and owner of Siddhartha Records, Øystein Sevåg, embarked on the project in 2004. | |||

| On Saturday May 12th, Sevåg is performed at the official opening of Galleri Nord Norge by Saltstraumen / Bodø. 350 people showed up at the spectacular event. The best champagne and grilled fish that was fished in Saltstraumen was served for everyone. | |||
